Here's something to check: Go into the Web Image Monitor for the copier it's the IP address the copier is usingfrom there go into the Address Book and pull up his listing in there select his name and click on Change. Under the section "Available Functions" make sure that the box for 'Scanner' has been checked off.

Unless you are pulling addresses from your LDAP this is a distinct possibility. If the other emails are working the machine is setup properly. My self I would just delete that user and put them back in again that all settings are at the default settings.
